| Disabled Access: | We always stress that parts of Jeake's House were built in the 16th century, and our stairs and architecture reflect that fact, therefore it may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties. |
| Parking available: | Parking is very restricted in Rye, so we are pleased to offer guests a guaranteed space in our own private car park. A key and a permit are available at £3.00 per day. Fortunately, Mermaid Street is two-way, so guests are advised to park outside the hotel for unloading luggage, and once settled in, we will direct you to the car park, which is only a few minutes' walk back to the hotel. |
| Children Welcome: | Jeake's House is unsuitable for small children during busy periods. We are, however, happy to welcome younger people in midweek during the winter when space permits. |
| Smoking policy: | For the comfort of all our guests the dining room is a non-smoking area. |
| Pets allowed: | A £5 a night housekeeping fee applies if you bring a dog, and we ask that you don't leave your pet unattended in your room and that you bring its own bed. |

Other information: Jeake's House stands on one of the most beautiful ancient cobbled streets of Rye, and today plays host to the discerning guest who wants to recapture the feel of history while at the same time enjoying a high standard of modern comfort and relaxed hospitality. Rye is a bustling, jovial market town with richly contrasting examples of architecture over several centuries, including old stonework, weatherboarding, and incomparable half-timbering. It boasts a fine museum within the Norman keep of the Ypres Castle, an ancient church with an Elizabethan clock and the last stained glass window created by Edward Burne-Jones and William Morris, art galleries, and potteries. Nobody leaves Rye and its stimulating surroundings without regretting that they have not arranged to stay longer. Do allow yourself plenty of time. The region deserves it - and so do you ! |
