Other information: The Isle of Skye offers to you ancient heritage and a natural environment inhabited by birds of prey, deer wild goat and highland cattle. You may have the opportunity to witness otters, porpoises & golden eagles also. The Born Free Foundation works very closely with the local authorities and one of the latest projects is to protect the local wildlife native to the highlands. In particular the otter, which came close to extinction in Great Britain due to pollution and habitat loss. But now, slowly, they are breeding and flourishing once again. All profits gained from the rental of "Cnoc Na Gaiothe" will go towards this project. |
